Obaidul QuaderRoad transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday directed engineers of the roads and highways division to repair within 24 hours the roads that are now in poor conditions.The minister issued the directive so that the people do not suffer while going home for Eid vacation.Read more: 2 major highways witness huge tailbackObaidul Quader, also general secretary of the ruling Awami League, was exchanging views with the executive engineers of the roads and highways division, Khulna zone, at Jessore Circuit House.The minister said the repairing works should be done at night so that daytime movement of vehicles is not affected in any way.As the engineers demanded enhanced security measures at night, Quader spoke to the inspector general of Khulna range of the highway police and assured them of security during the repairing works.
